While marketers may be committed to inclusivity, the lack of objective diversity metrics turns strategy into guesswork. The absence of diverse perspectives within marketing teams further narrows the vision. This departure from data-driven decisions, a cornerstone in marketing, results in strategies built on anecdotes or leads to inaction due to the fear of making mistakes.

Our journey began with our founder Johan van Mol. As a former Chief Strategy Officer at creative agency Wunderman Thompson, he witnessed the industry’s challenge in executing diverse and inclusive campaigns without solid data on demographic diversity and representation. It was this disconnect between good intentions and informed decision-making that led to the birth of No-Kno.

The name “No-Kno” stands for “Not Knowing”. It reflects our approach: taking on challenges without assumptions, ready to face what we don’t know. We give businesses the numbers and guidance they need to turn inclusivity goals into reality.
